However, several years later God’s blessings seemed to come to ascreeching halt.
“We were taking leaps of faith across continents and following the Spirit’s invitation to love thosewho didn’t yet know Him,” said Coleman. “We were giving it everything when my body decided toshut down and slowly give way to frequent sickness and, in turn, depression and anxiety.“For several years, I spent most of my time in bed. My head constantly spun, and I lived with anenduring mental fog. And it wasn’t just the sickness. Overnight the provision ended, the storiesstopped, and the miraculous connections dissipated. Cars, dishwashers, and computers broke. Itwas hard to love a God who stood by as my life fell apart. Especially after everything I’d done forHim.”
 
Through his enduring bedridden journey of physical pain, loneliness and disappointment with God,Coleman decided to use this time of stillness to relearn how to pray, and he realized he’d beenpraying in reverse his entire life. In Beholding Coleman shares why prayer is a way of being withGod in the everyday through our minds and bodies.
